“Technicolour Peaks” transports viewers to a breath-taking world where nature’s majestic peaks meet an explosion of vibrant hues. Dominated by shades of blue, this mesmerising painting showcases a series of glorious mountains against a backdrop if a deep, velvety blue night sky.
At the apex of each peak, an array of colours breathe life into the canvas- vivid greens, fiery oranges, passionate reds, radiant yellows, and vibrant pinks. These brilliant bursts evoke a sense of aliveness and creativity, as though the peaks are alive themselves. Above, the deep blue sky displays the ethereal dance of the Northern lights, their glimmering white ribbons complementing the flecks of stars.
“Technicolour Peaks” draws inspiration from a profound experience of my life where I climbed the highest mountain in England during the middle of the night. Once I arrived at the top, with only me, the love of my life, and the emergence of a sunrise, I expressed a sensation in a written note: “I am standing on top oof and looking over this great mound of perspective. The vastness makes me feel small, yet stood here, I feel larger than this life”.
